As a lover of mystery books, I have to say this latest mystery that I have read is so far one of my favorites. The Cuckoo’s Calling written by Robert Galbraith (AKA J. K. Rowling) is amazing. It keeps your interest all the way to the end.
It is a story about a Private Investigator, Cormoran Strike, who was asked by the brother of a famous model, to investigate her so call suicide. Her name was Lula Landry and her brother John Bristow felt that something was wrong when the police declared her murder as a suicide, claiming she was a girl who just had too much going on in her life and couldn’t take the pressures of being in the lime light. Bristow felt that his adopted sister was too happy and had way too much going for her. She was getting along great after seeking help in the past.
I enjoyed trying to guess what really happened, who saw what, and exactly who was where during Lula’s fatal fall to death. Strike is a character you quickly get attached to. At first, he like others felt that Bristow was just refusing to accept the worse, but as he puts together clues and investigates the people in Lula’s life he wonders differently. But who can he trust? What really happened on that balcony? Was there anyone else on that balcony with Lula, or…
Well, you will just have to read it to find out.
Thanks Rowling for another great book!
